Understanding the pathway
Our junior group tennis player pathway is structured to provide age and skill-appropriate coaching, ensuring a positive and developmental experience for every child. We've carefully designed each stage to build a solid foundation of tennis skills while fostering a love for the game.
The different stages
Our pathway consists of several stages, each tailored to a specific age group and skill level.
These stages are: Blue (ages 4-6), Red (ages 6-8), Orange (ages 8-9), Green (ages 9-11) and Yellow (ages 11+). Within each colour stage, there are 3 levels, with Level 1 being the beginner level and Level 3 being the more advanced.
Squad level is the highest level for all colours apart from blue.

From 2026, all players will receive a player review each half term, and we're building a competition element into the programme to enhance player development.
