Founded in Milton Keynes and known as Getcoachingmk since 2011, getcoachinguk was born out of a love for the games of tennis and padel and a desire to share that passion with others. With years of experience in coaching players of all levels, our team is dedicated to providing high-quality service that helps you improve your game and achieve your tennis and padel goals. We believe in the power of personalised coaching and tailored training sessions that focus on enhancing your skills and strategy on the court. Meet the Team

getcoachinguk was founded originally as getcoachingmk with a simple goal in mind - to provide top-notch tennis coaching services to players of all levels in Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas and although our name has changed slightly our ethos hasn't. Our team of experienced coaches is dedicated to helping you reach your full potential on the court. With a combination of technical expertise, personalised training plans, and a love for the game, we have built a reputation for excellence in the tennis coaching community. Matt Evans - Head Coach

Matt has been a professional tennis coach since 2000 and has been qualified as a Padel coach since 2025. During his career in tennis he has held various different roles from Senior Coach to Tennis Director.

Starting off at David Lloyd MK before spending some time working at Lew Hoad Campo De Tenis in Spain Matt then worked for Paul Delgado and Martin Lee in the Maidenhead area before moving to Harpenden Lawn Tennis Club and then Corby Indoor Tennis Centre where he worked with county and regional level juniors.

Since returning to the Milton Keynes area he has coached and run programmes in a variety of settings with players of all abilities.

In January 2025 Matt qualified with the British Padel Coaching Association as a professional Padel Coach.

Matt runs GetcoachingUK across multiple venues overseeing all the programmes and developing a team of junior coaches.

Matt is available for private lessons throughout the day and evenings Monday - Friday and is available to teach all ages and abilities.

£45 per hour

£50 per hour for local private house coaching (Travel more than 15 minutes from Newport Pagnell will be charged at a higher rate)

Jason Fairhurst - Senior Coach

Jason has been coaching for more than 25 years, is a former British number 1 junior and has coached many top level players including a current world ranked junior player.

LTA Level 3 Accredited + Coach.

Gavin Jolley - Instructor

Gavin is an LTA accredited coach who runs the Sunday groups at Great Linford. Gavin coaches at David Lloyd running cardio tennis and assisting on the junior programme as well as special events and has been involved in tennis for many years. Gavin works as a teacher and is also a qualified personal trainer, runs a Taekwondo school and is a private English tutor.

George Booth - Assistant Coach

George is an LTA level 1 Accredited Assistant, currently working towards qualifying as an Instructor (LTA Level 2).

Having played a wide range of sports at different levels growing up, George brings a a broad spectrum of knowledge and experience with him. He draws on varied coaching techniques to build an individual’s tactical and technical ability while reinforcing a positive, resilient mindset.

George’s primary focus is on delivering high-energy, inclusive sessions that nurture the growth of junior players both as tennis players and as individuals.

Chris May - Assistant Coach

Chairman and Team captain of the Men's B team at Great Linford Tennis club Chris is the epitome of a tennis enthusiast!

Completing his Level 1 in 2025 Chris joins the team to assist with the running of the junior group coaching and plans to take his level 2 in the near future.
