This Easter with Coach Jacks help we were able to run Tennis Camps at Great Linford Tennis Club and Stewkley Tennis Club for both weeks.
We were very lucky with the weather this year which allowed us to maximise the time on court and not have to shelter from the rain and play games inside, a few children did ask if we could still do the team quiz but it will be saved for wetter conditions!
We had a good turn out at Great Linford with 11 children booked across the 3 days for both weeks, Stewkley had 10 for the 1st week and an amazing 20 for the 2nd week which kept Coach Jack and his assistants Sam, Elio and Jack very busy.
We focused on the four main strokes of the Serve, Forehand, Backhand and Volley. It was great to see real progress from the children in terms of their technique and rallying ability.
The absolute highlight of the Easter Camps this year was the team work and togetherness the children showed. We had children of all ages helping each other with their tennis and socialising really well as a group on their breaks.
A special thanks go to our amazing assistants Sam, Elio and Jack for helping Coach Jack run the Stewkley Camp. The help of our assistants is very much appreciated across our after school programme and camps and the help they provide really makes a difference to the children on these sessions.
We are taking a break over the May half term but we will be back for more camps in the Summer.
